Mind you, around about my home town it seems like they were mostly bringing in Frisians (Danes), Breuci (Bosnians), Vingones (Gauls) and Varduli (Celt-Iberians) to 'oppress' the Celts, and its easy to see why he wouldn't want any actual facts tainting his ur-myth, because especially with the Frisians that metaphor could twist back and bite him with it's tale of Tyr-worshipping blonde auxiliaries coming over here to steal our women.
