It brings me peace knowing you are near

Too much of today was taken up with virtual doctor's appointments, but they went well, which is what I want. We made a steak with black-eyed peas for dinner. Eventually I will be able to do something with my brain again.

Thank you! There were only two, but that was still too many, and one was early enough in the morning that I didn't sleep much for it. I enjoyed Carry On Sergeant (1958), though.
And, I mean, Cat.
Very cat.
*hugs*

I'm not a fan of the Cadfael TV- they took WAY too many liberties with the novels and as we now live in Cadfael country.......

I was! I had three blankets and one cat.

I never finished the series in part for that reason, but there are aspects of it I enjoyed very much, and recommending it to a friend last fall put me vaguely in mind of rewatching it ever since. "One Corpse Too Many" is a close adaptation, at least.

Thank you!
I couldn't find Autolycus in the middle-sized version of the photo that came on my DW reading page, because he blends so well into your black shirt.
Aw! My stealthy void.

His sister sometimes watches movies with us, too, but he really seems to like it. He did even as a kitten when we watched movies off my laptop.

It is a very lovable void.

I don't think so. He was purring.

. . . A boxed set?
but it's always a battle for me between BUT DEREK JACOBI and BUT DEEP ANNOY BECAUSE BOOK PLOT.
I never understood why they adapted the stories they did out of order, either. Or replaced Sean Pertwee. But I was still delighted to see the series turn up for free-with-ads on Tubi and my affection for Julian Firth remains intact.
I think it's an excellent choice for viewing just now, though, and your abyssal void is very cute.
Thank you!

I'm glad your doctor's appointments went well.

He doesn't usually look so classically voidlike! We were very impressed!

Autolycus looks so involved! I kept thinking that I saw Hestia nestling around somewhere, but it's just the black figures on the blanket.
Ninja watched an episode of "Hinterland" with David and me last night. When he had had enough belly pets he put both hind paws in the palm of my hand and pushed, but when I took my hand away altogether he corralled it again. I had changed from a petter to a footwarmer, apparently.

She was curled up on her little electric mat, which is plugged in by the plastered-over grate that used to be a fireplace and is her preferred spot in the winter (unless she's under the covers of the bed, in her seasonal camouflage as the North American Lump Cat). Autolycus is actually on my lap as we speak, which is a little difficult since the way he's trying to fit himslf into my arms interferes unsurprisingly with my typing.

Autolycus often likes to have his feet against one of our hands when being held! We think it's a skin-to-skin thing, or maybe just the knowledge of secure footing even when he's on his back like a little otter.

Black cats, best cats, we have been telling them for years.
