It was snowing this morning, the first snow of the year. We watched it spiral lightly out of the dawn-blue overcast. It didn't seem to be sticking, but it was beautiful, and made the world look like something else for a little while.
I had an outdoor volunteer shift yesterday morning, so I did not appreciate the falling snow quite as much as I would have if I had had more of an indoors option, but walking home from work at the end of the day with the lights shining off the snowy branches and arriving to a hot shower and hot soup truly did make everything worth it.

I am glad! That is a very winter ending to a day, and also sounds a bit like a Hanukkah story.
