It was snowing this morning, the first snow of the year. We watched it spiral lightly out of the dawn-blue overcast. It didn't seem to be sticking, but it was beautiful, and made the world look like something else for a little while.
A friend called this morning and insisted on a FaceTime call, though I warned said person I was wearing a tank top and was sweaty and gross from trundling my flab on the exercise bike==but when I agreed to it, surprise! Their camera showed me FALLING SNOW, so very beautiful, especially to my parched, sun-and-smoke dried eyes, as I wipe lavender on the latest crop of mosquito bites.
The streets are slushy now, but it's stayed in the trees.

I'm so glad your friend did that! (Smoke and mosquitos should be contended with separately; simultaneously is cheating.)
