I was away from my computer for most of the day, so it wasn't until I got home from my afternoon of singing Yiddish that I saw there had been another synagogue shooting. I hate that another. Schools, mosques, synagogues, historically black churches, another and another, who's next? I would like the news to be full of other things, and not just because no one's reporting this kind. I don't know how to keep people safe.

I worry that anti-Semitic murders will just become a thing that everyone accepts happens in this country, and the only people who will try to prevent it will be the people who are already targets, and historically that stops nothing. I would either like someone who can make a difference to care or I would like to change the composition of who can make a difference. And I would like it to happen fast enough to save lives. I hate it.
