I was away from my computer for most of the day, so it wasn't until I got home from my afternoon of singing Yiddish that I saw there had been another synagogue shooting. I hate that another. Schools, mosques, synagogues, historically black churches, another and another, who's next? I would like the news to be full of other things, and not just because no one's reporting this kind. I don't know how to keep people safe.

I am sick of the not-surprise that is also horror. I have been feeling it steadily for almost two and a half years now and I hate it.
