Tell me where the light will go and I will chase it
It's the season, but these last few weeks have felt especially dark and especially cold. There's no snow on the ground, but it's been raining all day. Everyone's sick. The light dies out of the sky before you can do anything with it.
So we light the candles for Hanukkah and we tell stories of resistance and we are still here; that's the important part. Show me the Seleucids who can say the same.

I order my dresses cut long any more so no oppressor will ever see my knees knocking. (They do. They're fat, but they do.) And then I stand, and they move.
*hugs* Making the light is all we can do.
