It's the season, but these last few weeks have felt especially dark and especially cold. There's no snow on the ground, but it's been raining all day. Everyone's sick. The light dies out of the sky before you can do anything with it.

So we light the candles for Hanukkah and we tell stories of resistance and we are still here; that's the important part. Show me the Seleucids who can say the same.
