My curiosity found a cavity and something to stick in

And then my night became unnecessarily exciting when Hestia standing on top of the refrigerator first got the freezer door open and then panicked because half her feet were on the top of the refrigerator and half her feet were on the swinging freezer door and what with one thing and another I have just finished swishing my mouth out with a fifty-fifty solution of hydrogen peroxide on orders from urgent care, because when I caught my panicked falling cat I mostly caught her with my face. One of her claws went clear through my upper lip, like a barbell. I got her loose before she could struggle further, so I am not in an emergency room in the middle of the night with some undoubtedly nice-mannered resident stitching up my mouth, but I have two exciting diagonal furrows and one puncture that bled eagerly throughout my conversation with urgent care about wound cleaning and the antibiotics that I need to pick up from the pharmacy first thing tomorrow morning, because the combination of cat claw and the human mouth means I am a high risk for infection, which would be the absolute last thing I need. Hestia freaked out and I have reassured her that she is still a good cat and I love her, even if she needs her claws clipped stat. We joke about Autolycus Removal Services, but I guess the other business on the premises is Hestia's Piercings and Tattoo. I assume the wound will close quickly if I keep it clean and don't put any actual metal through it, but in the meantime, God damn, this hurts.
