The season to destroy you comes year after year

After a false start involving some canola oil that had gone to the other side, my mother and I just made somewhere in the vicinity of ninety-seven hamantashn with, dare I say it, production-line efficiency. SUCK IT, HENRY FORD.

(Apricot, prune, sour cherry, poppy seed. The latter are my favorite these days.)

I know there are only so many original plots in the world and most convergences are produced by parallel evolution rather than plagiarism, so I assume David Freyne who wrote and directed The Cured (2017) never read Joy Kennedy-O'Neill's "Aftermath" (though everyone should, it's great) and I'm quite sure that neither David Levithan nor Michael Sucsy ever heard of me, but I read about Every Day (2018) and thought in a rare moment of self-esteem, "Dammit, I did that better in 'The Dybbuk in Love.'"

I did not make any this year. Meant to come home and do it after hockey tonight, but forgot hockey now goes from 7:15-8:00 and also, there was AN INJURY.

CHILD'S FIRST HOCKEY INJURY.

In any case, remember to exorcise the canola oil or the sour cherry will become revenge cherry.
