I actually dreamt this result two nights ago and told myself not to get up my hopes.

I don't believe in prophetic dreams (that I have) but it's kind of nice to be pleasantly surprised!

It was so satisfying watching Moore's early lead melt away as the returns came in.

Andrew reported the good news some time early this morning; was pleased to confirm later that it hadn’t been a dream.

Scary close, but I’m assuming that the Alabama republicans had their collective thumb on the scale, just not hard enough this time to outweigh the voters.

I went upstairs deliberately as I couldn't stand to wait, it was too much like last November. What an excellent surprise when I got up at one a.m. to find out that no, not like last November.

They worked so hard to get the vote despite all the voter suppression antics!

That was an AMAZING present to the rest of us. I'm really cheered up by how many people are saying how energized and rededicated they feel. It sounds like the local NAACP chapter was just fighting for every vote they could down there. Amazing.

A great miracle happened there. I thought Jones had a real shot, but I was preparing myself for the worst. And then the worst did not befall, for once!
