The sky inside is bigger for our hearts to hold

There'll be movies and graduation presently, but for the moment I offer a musical meme from [livejournal.com profile] clarionj:

What is your favorite lyric description of a girl?

She's the kind of girl who gets her slings and arrows from the dumpster
The girl who tells you she's bipolar just to make you trust her

—The Dresden Dolls, "Dirty Business"

What is your favorite lyric description of a guy?

You're open to interpretation
Like the trapdoor underneath your tousled throne
And I'm engaged, and I'm enraged, and I'm enchanted
With this little bit of magic I've been shown

—Jill Tracy, "Extraordinary"

What's an interesting lyric about a bar?

And the box office is drooling and the bar stools are on fire
And the newspapers were fooling and the ashtrays have retired
'Cause the piano has been drinking
The piano has been drinking
Not me . . .

—Tom Waits, "The Piano Has been Drinking"

What is your favorite line about a gun?

Slender and wicked, a flame in her eyes
Pearl white and nickel round the curve of her thighs
Smooth as dry whiskey, but cold to caress
She slid like a viper from her tooled leather dress

—Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer, "41 Thunderer"

(I'm also fond of the title image of Louise Taylor's "Stubborn As A Gun.")

What's the sexiest song on your playlist (for now)?

Sam Phillip's "All Night":

I heard you were here, then you disappeared
Last night when they killed the light
Words we didn't say, your eyes that took us down
To more than we were ready for
You came up behind me, grabbed my wrists in the dark and said
Don't look at what you can see

Now all night, all night
I've been looking for you all night . . .

This would be easier for me substituting poems for songs.

And here, I've been listening to music with lyrics in languages I don't know, or none at all. This one looks like it would be fun, but I can't think of songs at all.
