The tide flows in and the tide flows out, twice every day returning
I do not like to talk about stories while I am working on them or before they have been accepted, but I have completed my first piece of original fiction since the fall of 2015 and I think this is a good thing. A comment
ashlyme left was the inspiration; at least I feel it bears the signs of recent exposure to Sapphire & Steel. If I can place it, I'll say more. I am still not doing so great, but I feel it is important to record this sort of thing when it happens. Autolycus, purring at Cape Canaveral volume and trampling on the keys as I type, feels it is important to pay attention to the cat.

This is only right and proper; cats are the most important, they all know that.
(Congrats on completion!)

We have certainly given them no reasons to think otherwise.
(Congrats on completion!)
Thank you!

He has a valid and important point. *nods seriously*
(Yay for completing fiction!)

Argued most eloquently, too, with plenty of cat butt to back up his logic.

Thank you!
currently my only DW cat icon
Actually, cats are marvelous threads and life preservers--we can both attest to that.
Big congratulations about the story! I very deeply hope it gets accepted somewhere, as your stories always make a big impression on me, and I'd like to read another.
And I do hope things do get better. I didn't say so last entry, just raved about the music instead, but I hope this patch of exceptionally vicious insomnia goes away. And, well... I wish real life didn't keep supplying such horrors, of course.
it is a fine DW cat icon!

They are. I am glad of all of ours.

Thank you! I want to be able to share it with people. I've sent it to a market and am hoping.
By the way, about two years ago, you sent me a written interview around Ghost Signs that I never actually sent back to you because everything became terrible forever. Would you still like me to try to answer the questions?

Thank you. I appreciate it.

Seriously. Enough already.

Cool! I will try to do within the next couple of days, then. Man, I have to sleep.

Autolycus does have a point.
He is a very wise little cat.

Thank you! I am hoping it will be a matter of finding it the right home.
And cats, I think, are universal in their desire to be paid attention, high priority, whatever you're doing is unimportant. (Except when they don't want it, and will swipe at you with their claws for violating their unspoken request.)
Yes. Hestia especially is very particular about attention on her own terms.
Nice icon!

Thank you. From your mouth to editors' ears.
Respects to the cats, *hugs* to you.
It is cat siesta time here: Autolycus seems to be doing his best to fall asleep on my desk and Hestia has already zoned out on a box of books. *hugs* in return.
