Yes, it is bread we fight for, but we fight for roses too

Today is my third anniversary with [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel. It's all melted by now, but this morning was the first snow of the season. It has been in many to most respects a terrible year. We are still here and we are going to do something to celebrate it.

I've been singing that in public & private for 41 yrs, and it still makes me happy to be among humans.

Congrats on three years. Even before Recent Events, our society undermines our ability to connect. Maintaining relationships is hard work!

I think in your last entry (?) you mentioned getting choked up when you heard the song "Bread and Roses." Id never heard it, so I listened to the Bronwen Lewis version, since that's what you were listening to when you wrote this. It's lovely.
