I have very important exams tomorrow at nine o'clock. As I have been studying, the only time I was out of my house today was to pick up dinner at Gourmet Heaven, which is the local sort of overpriced convenience store with buffet that I imagine attends upon most universities (they sell four different brands of paper plate and a whole wall of Japanese snacks that I have never dared try, although I eye the crab chips every time I walk out). I hadn't seen anyone else all day. I'd barely answered e-mails. I'd been reading.
And I walked in tonight to locate some hot food, and sitting there at one of the little tables was someone I care for dearly, who lives in a different state and whom I hadn't seen in somewhere around three weeks, with a sheaf of roses, a good-luck card, and a plate of hamentashn.
That is what good friends are worth.

Buy them. If you can't bring yourself to try them, for the love of all that's holy, styrofoam them up, and SEND THEM TO ME.
