So the answer to how I am doing lately is "really, really badly," but on Wednesday I am heading to New York City to see Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown at the New York Theatre Workshop at the invitation of
ladymondegreen. I have been wanting to see this music staged since 2010 and I am looking forward to it. I also plan to hit up the Strand. Music, books, myths: these things are good.

I was [am?] a little anxious that they've included more story, more focus on the Hades-Persephone relationship,** but Claire assures me it's well done and makes for great parallels with the Orpheus-Eurydice story.
Needless to say, I am very, very, VERY much looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the performance.
**Sometimes less is more. So that's my anxiety.
