I can't believe Playska has closed. I didn't even get a chance to revisit it before it blasted back off to its planet of origin. Where am I going to get my Daniel Pinkwater food now?
Damn. Perhaps it will return from orbit soon. In the meantime, perhaps another can be convinced to grow. Clearly we need either suitable bait, or good growing conditions.

Careful perusal of Pinkwater indicates I could lure it with over-applied avocados, obscure B-movies, or terrible beat poetry. I can cope with two out of these three.
How many avocados are necessary for over-applying?
At one point in The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death (1982), Osgood Sigerson orders an avocado eclair. I admit that I would try one if it were offered me, but I also think it might be stretching the capacity of even that fabled fruit just a little too far.
