There's a world going on underground
Taking a moment's break from film noir:
As I should have mentioned yesterday, Strange Horizons is closed to fiction and poetry submissions in December. We will reopen in the new year, however, at which time I will be the poetry editor reading for the months of January and February 2016. I hope to see work from all of you then! And from people who aren't on my friendlist. And people I haven't heard of. And people who say things I've never heard. There are so many voices.

Yikes! In most cases the answer to that question is "assume a rejection," because all responses were sent out by July at the latest (there were technological complications in the spring), but in this case you should re-send me the poem in January if it hasn't sold anywhere else before then, because I don't believe I saw it in March and I would have enjoyed the opportunity. Seriously, please feel free to send it to other markets, though. You should not suffer in publication because the SH poetry filter sometimes eats submissions. I am so sorry.
