I'm still waiting in the cyclone's eye

I meant to make some kind of note here last night, but I was a walking out of brain error by the time I got home. I regret nothing. Yesterday I spent something like seven hours at Six Flags New England with [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel and David and C. and it was wonderful. We rode the Thunderbolt, the Mind Eraser, Bizarro (three times), Batman: The Dark Knight (three or four times), Gotham City Gauntlet, and the Wicked Cyclone. There was much air time and zero-g and soaring falls at night and generally not too much waiting in lines. There were Halloween zones of wandering zombies and aliens and chainsaw-wielding maniacs and some of those people were having a lot of fun. There was not very much park food, but I got Dippin' Dots. For various reasons mostly pertaining to the difficulty of finding dinner, I got home at two in the morning and did not fall asleep until sometime after five. It was the last celebration of my birthday weekend; it was worth it. Today I am attempting to do something useful with my brain. Like work.

Woo amusement park! I'll have to remember that I can do them in the fall, too; I always mean to take a day during the summer and go solo and never get around to it.

Sounds like an excellent finale to the birthday celebration!
