The hearts that would burn and the hearts that would not

"On the Blindside" and "White Shadows" both made Locus' recommended reading list this year. This is good news to wake up to. Thanks to Tim Pratt, Heather Shaw, Christopher Rowe, and Gwenda Bond, whose multiple fault it is that these stories ever saw the light of the day.

(Thankee kindly. That's a fun one to perform -- I actually told it aloud a few times before setting it to paper, getting back to my storytelling roots.)

Congratulations. And praise to the list-makers and editors for their good taste.

Wow, congrats. You seem to be kicking ass of late!

I beg to differ. As long as I have known Sonya, she has always been a significant kicker of the ass.

If you mean she is kicking more ass or kicking ass better, well, I point to her many years of winning professional level ass kicking contests, and say that it is hardly surprising. Impressive, though. :)
