It is raining to bring in the shortest night of the year. I am going to attempt to sleep through it. There was a stop-work order on the jackhammer house today; I was indecently pleased. Welcome, summer.

Rain is my very favorite thing to sleep to. No, maybe surf is, on second thought. Or a little of both.

I have not slept by a rainy sea in a very long time. Now I'm wistful.
