Lo, it is that time of year when my e-mail ceases to work, like the swallows deciding Capistrano isn't so hot after all. Despite being able to confirm the sending of several messages, I haven't received one since a little before midnight (and sending from my end was rocky all evening). With any luck this issue will have resolved by tomorrow morning, but in case it takes a day or so, that's why I haven't answered your e-mail. Dammit.

[edit] My e-mail has come back! (My father persuaded it.) It will take about a day or so for all of the messages to filter in. I will respond as things arrive.

I can use Gmail, but my primary account is dead in the water. This is a problem because almost nothing I do is connected to Gmail—it's my backup for very large attachments and communicating with the few people whose accounts bounce my other address. This really did happen last year and the year before, so I have faith that it will be fixable, but in the meantime, it's frustrating.

I got it at the backup address! This just doesn't do much for all the notifications linked to the other account or the messages currently waiting there to be answered. Or my editorial account at SH.

I know I have survived this issue before, but it's really annoying. And tends to produce anxiety that I am missing something vital, like an acceptance. (I should be so lucky.)

Yes, finally. I think a few stray e-mails are still coming in, but I can answer messages like a normal person again! (I have so many messages to answer.)
