1. My poem "The Whalemaid, Singing" is now online at Uncanny Magazine. It is the first Tuesday of December: the first issue is now entirely live. It is splendid. I am already looking forward to the second.

So absolutely delighted you could come to the bear party!

I was glad to be there. Sour cherry sorbet and basil ice cream are worthwhile things, and it was very kind of Dan to introduce me to one of his people before he left. Next year he will have to bring a white bear, or perhaps some kind of kabbalistic spirit if things work out with John Donne.
