Just now, I fell asleep for ten minutes and dreamed of a girl who tried to drown herself, but the sea threw her back with dead-black hair and skin as milky and brittle as old ice, her mouth crowded with viperfish needles of teeth. I blame handful_ofdust's Innsmouth pin-ups.

For my birthday, my parents got me a bisexual unicorn T-shirt. I am wearing it out tonight to hear The Phantom of the Opera (1925) with live music at the Coolidge. I have never, actually, seen Lon Chaney in anything before.

I didn't find the movie cheesy at all, actually. Silent acting, and not in a naturalistic style (like The Crowd (1928), which I also saw and loved recently and have written nothing about because of stress and sickness), but really beautiful to watch. Chaney's makeup is still amazing and so is his performance.

. . . seriously? It features a stately sparkly unicorn named Sir Fabulous the Third! With a top hat and a monocle!

It is an excellent shirt, but your work computer needs to relax its parameters.
