One headline—why believe it?

Just now, I fell asleep for ten minutes and dreamed of a girl who tried to drown herself, but the sea threw her back with dead-black hair and skin as milky and brittle as old ice, her mouth crowded with viperfish needles of teeth. I blame [livejournal.com profile] handful_ofdust's Innsmouth pin-ups.

For my birthday, my parents got me a bisexual unicorn T-shirt. I am wearing it out tonight to hear The Phantom of the Opera (1925) with live music at the Coolidge. I have never, actually, seen Lon Chaney in anything before.

That is some dream to manage to dream in ten minutes.

Enjoy The Phantom of the Opera and your introduction to Lon Chaney!

I need to know more about her. NEEEEEED.

(I KNOW THE FEELING. Nothing has come to/out of me since the two things I did not send to Rose. I am very much in learning/absorbing mode right now, which is natural but super frustrating.)

Oh my! I think you will enjoy Lon Chaney's very cheesy-with-pathos schtick.

I hope so, anyway.

My work internet tells me that your shirt is Outside the Parameters of Acceptable Use. I will take that to mean that it is *excellent*.

Perhaps your work computer knows more about Dan-Savage-style slang than is good for it.

You're right: I shouldn't dog on silent movie acting, because I do love it.

My work computer staggers under the weight of its firewall.

That dream would make such a beautiful story. Or poem.

Oh man, how did I not hear about that Phantom of the Opera thing?? :(
