Seriously, they're showing a print of Der Verlorene (1951). Mad Love (1935) and The Face Behind the Mask (1941) is a brilliant double feature. I've barely even heard of F.P.1 anwortet nicht (1932).

I recently saw Peter Lorre in The Mask of Dimitrios and was left feeling that he was a very odd choice as the lead character, supposedly a Danish journalist. Lorre was a great actor, but I thought the movie needed more of a naif action-type leading man. Sydney Greenstreet, OTOH, was perfect for his role.

I really like him in that film, actually, in part because he's weirder than that heroic naïf. I saw it in 2007. His roles in The Verdict (1946) and Three Strangers (1946) are even better. He and Greenstreet were a magnificent pair.
