I'd open this mouth wide, eat your heart
Today was complicated. Have some links!
From
ashlyme: blue shells and seaweeds.
For
asakiyume: the crow of the Lady of the Ruby Lake.
This Tumblr is a timesink of classical antiquity. Hellenistic glass bowl!
I think we're going to watch Strange Days (1995).

I love classical glass. My one quibble with the accompanying text: "The spirals that appear green in this bowl, however, are not intentionally colored green but rather, they are the result of opaque yellow spirals being viewed through clearer blue glass." I suspect whoever designed that bowl knew exactly the result they would achieve by embedding one color within the other—and they were right that it would be impressive.

Also, I clicked on that glass bowl (pretty!) and got lost in tumblr for half an hour.

The crow is - something else.
It is a story itself, but I am hoping it generates more.

It felt perfectly like something out of Pen Pal. Which, if you haven't read, I can only recommend it stat.
