Who knew that chameleons possessed so robust a soul?

1. Dammit, I'd have observed Alec Guinness' centenary if I'd known! Good thing [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel bought that box set of Ealing comedies.

2. Diane Severson Mori discusses four poems of mine in the latest Poetry Round-Up at Amazing Stories. I'm very honored. Check out the rest of the other 'zines mentioned, too!

3. Rob and I have now been married for six months. We celebrated with dinner at Some 'Ting Nice (GOAT ROTI) and walked home through the deepening blue air of evening. We passed my old residence on Dartmouth Street, coming around to Broadway where we could see a strip of after-sunset cloud like mountains across the horizon. The initials we scratched into the drying concrete last August are still there.

So are we.

!. “Alec, a very literary man, was not only patiently tactful but treated [Daphne Du Maurier] with all the skill of a slightly edgy psychiatrist soothing a potential werewolf at dusk.”

Now I want to see his ghost intersecting with that Duchess of Malfi.

Ferdinand: "I'll go hunt the badger by owl-light. 'Tis a deed of darkness."

AG: {very slight flicker of facial muscles} "Hmm."

2. Swell article. Damned good poet.

3. All happiness for many anniversaries to come! I suppose that if the first year is paper, you're now on the verso of the leaf.
