Tempus adest gratiae, hoc quod optabamus
In which I wave to a whole bunch of people and hope they notice. Congratulations to
erzebet, who just might be making a living at this writing racket after all. Congratulations to
lesser_celery, who doesn't update his livejournal nearly enough, but who is also, in his other life, editing a book: and I find this deeply cool. And a particular shout-out to Karen Anne Mitchell, whose blog is in even worse straits of timeliness, but who has just sold two novels, The Usahar and Finding Words, to Prime Books.* If you look up her work on the internet, what you will primarily find is straightforward erotica: well-written, but little more than sketches. The novels, however, are strange and intriguing and full not only of sensuality, but of all the complications that attend upon sex and desire and even (or most of all) love. Next holiday season, I know what I'm asking my publisher for.

A living at this, hmm. This, and the art, and I would be the happiest girl in the world. :)
