The day still comes and the sun still shines
And today it is slushing.
If you (or anyone else who needs to know) submitted anything to Strange Horizons for the month of November, you should have received a response as of last night. I am aware this is rather later than the magazine's stated eight weeks' response time, but I have been having trouble with my editorial account—am still having trouble and may have to change the address I use for slush-reading—and it took me quite plainly until this month to get in and read submissions. Nonetheless, if you still have a poem outstanding from that month and no response from either myself,
rinue, or
ajodasso, query. It's almost certainly gone astray in the aether if so.

handful_ofdust: I would, in fact, watch the hell out of this alternate run of Doctor Who. Especially the Fourth and Tenth Doctors. Major points for the casting of the First and Sixth. Tell me what universe I rent the DVDs from. (What do you mean most of the Second Doctor's run doesn't survive even on kinescope? Oh, BBC, even in another history, you never recorded anything?)

derspatchel: cable codes (a lot more here). It's like Exquisite Corpse plays the stock exchange.
It's Britten's centenary year; I can hear Alex Jennings talk about playing him. He turned up in a ghost poem of mine some time ago. I still don't know why I haven't written more.

I think the next universe over has a much better viewer base.

Timesink. Just so you know.

Tell me what to watch Miranda Hart in. I didn't recognize anyone but Sue Perkins after the Seventh Doctor . . .

Also, dying of giggle at Julia Roberts. Oh, Eric.

We could have both versions. Compare and contrast.

I think I am going to start explaining my tardiness for appointments with "Apologies, admetos."

I'd watch that alternate run as well. The cable codes seem awfully useful, and would make text messaging much more effective, or at least compact.
The Alex Jennings piece on the BBC radio is grand. Thank you for linking it.

I am very fond of him. It seems to be a thing that happens when an actor plays two of your favorite artists.

That's the only problem with this particular game! I am frustrated by the nonexistence of the results!
