This afternoon I received my contributor's copy of Mythic Delirium #12 ("Tarot in the Dungeon" and "Eelgrass and Blue") and payment of $20.

With this money, I bought a ticket for Great Big Sea's concert tonight at Toad's Place; and the music was so good, I didn't even try to kill the guy behind me who spilled his drink into my shoe.

On my schedule for tomorrow: read Demosthenes' On the Crown and look up a Neo-Assyrian hangover cure.

This is the life.

I got my contributor's copy a couple days ago. I loved your poems--the imagery is gorgeous and rich--like dark chocolate for the eyes and soul.

I didn't kill whoever it was a few years back that spilled a pitcher of margaritas on my favorite pair of Birkenstocks at Ethan's end-of-semester thing. That was one bizarro night. I liked Floyd St. so much better.

A pitcher of margaritas. Ouch. I think this was just three-quarters of a beer, but I wasn't one hundred percent positive; and I certainly wasn't going to taste-test it. After the guy apologized and left—after offering to buy me a drink, which I declined as he would probably have just spilled it into my other shoe—the other guy standing behind me with his girlfriend tapped me on the shoulder and said, "If it makes you feel any better, I'm probably wearing the other half of his drink." Sympathy in numbers . . .

Jealous. Spent last night at an Irish pub/Karaoke bar (Apparently this is a Fulbright tradition), and actually SANG the wild rover. Noone spilled any drinks on me, but my shirt still smells of tobacco smoke. Ah well, a fun day as a whole.
