Whether the future's bright or we're out of luck

Yesterday I expected to do almost nothing at all. I even succeeded for most of the day. Then I watched the next installment of Millennium with [livejournal.com profile] lesser_celery (who also brought over his wedding pictures, so that I could finally see some of the faces that go with his graduate school stories), and in the evening wound up at The Burren and Finale with [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel (Burdick's on a weeknight locks its doors at nine o'clock on the dot! Who thought that was a good idea?), and now I have a DVD of Cold Comfort Farm (1995) and it looks like I'm going to attend the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival's 'Thon on Sunday.

Also my poem "Taking the Auspices" has been nominated for the 2012 Rhysling Award.

I'm not complaining.

I must add "Cold Comfort" to my list... the description and picture remind me of the movie "I Capture the Castle" - starring Bill Nighy and Romola Garai. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0300015/
By the way... French director Francois Ozon now calls Garai his muse. Well, that makes two of us. She starred in his film "Angel" - about a young eccentric British writer in the early 20th century. Highly recommended...

Congrats and good luck with your poem!
