*No way of knowing if the Jimmy bit was what he was always called or if he grew up a James or a Jamie, I suppose, but still, I can't help wondering if the name helped determine his career path. Then again, the world might be full of folk named Jasper Bloode and Leticia D'Eath who write children's books about cute puppies and sweet romances under pseudonyms.
