An absinthe spoon! I was unaware, but unsurprised to learn of its existence.

It's a rather nice one, I think. It was handed to me by the man who had been pouring the absinthe at the MIT Ivy+ Fine Spirits Showcase, which is where I spent most of yesterday. I also got a business card, but the spoon is definitely cooler.

Here's hoping they can come in greater numbers and start leaving the steamrollers behind.

Glad to hear you had a nice day. From the quick browsing I'd been doing, it seemed you were due for one. "I have an absinthe spoon"--that's an evocative statement. I think I'd just hold it and twirl it and look and touch for quite a while--is it that there's an entire imaginative history behind absinthe?
