When you wake up, it won't be your thoughts in your head
There is a band in Somerville that writes post-punk songs based on The Prisoner (1967—1968). They are playing at Church tomorrow night. Due to prior commitments, I am still figuring out whether I'll be able to hear them in person, but this is so exactly the sort of thing I didn't know I needed, I am signal-boosting on general principle. The first three songs on the EP are available from their blog and they're worth taking.
Well, your lips curl out from your face
Like they've got something to prove
When they're moving at night, I think
You're finally telling the truth
You've been running your whole life singing
"If you've got nothing, you've got nothing to lose—"
They're gun, gun, gunning
They're gun, gun, gunning for you . . .
Well, your lips curl out from your face
Like they've got something to prove
When they're moving at night, I think
You're finally telling the truth
You've been running your whole life singing
"If you've got nothing, you've got nothing to lose—"
They're gun, gun, gunning
They're gun, gun, gunning for you . . .

No! (The only Roy Harper I have is "The Green Man.") I will look it up.
