Distinctly enthralling, is it not?

My poem "The Chymical Marriage" has been nominated for the 2010 Rhysling Award. Now I really have no excuse not to get an icon of Dr. Pretorius.

There is a pleasing variety about your award nominations.

Congratulations! This is a fine thing.

Whoo hoo!

As for the Pretorius icon: Yes. Maybe one with his homunculi framed in the foreground? I seem to recall a shot like that--him peering at them through the glass.

Or maybe one with him appearing to offer the Monster a potato.

Congratulations! (sorry this is late; I've been too busy with marking assignments to keep up with lj)

And please let me know when you get the Pretorius icon: I wrote a Dr Pretorius story a few years ago (still waiting for the anthology to come out), so I need one myself!

I particularly like this poem... perhaps its the chemistry references. Also, I had really strange dreams last night too. Coincidence?

Oh, and there's a prose poem I think you should read--it just bowled me over. It's "Sunset City," by Robert Lax, and [livejournal.com profile] seraphimsigrist has posted it here: http://seraphimsigrist.livejournal.com/892367.html?#cutid1
