Taaffe &
My first-ever collaborations with other poets have recently been accepted for publication. (Since I have no idea what I'm doing in collaboration, this rather amazes me. I'm chalking it up to the talents of the other person involved.) Several months ago, Mike Allen invited me to write a rengay with him; the resultant tangle of strings, constellations, and faces, "Aranea," has been accepted by Not One of Us. John Benson, meanwhile, is entirely to blame for (a) "The Waters Where Once We Lay" (b) the fact that it just sold to Jabberwocky; it's full of kelp and loss, and does not conform to any known meter. So this is all good.
In other news, my life is rather in the gutter. At least I have new music.

And a new silly quiz. Cut for burlesque.

Well, and a freaky, expensive, placental-cell based enzyme replacement infusion therapy, which we're not trying.
I keep having to buy magazines cos you keep being in them.

Unfortunately I don't have a free copy that I can point you to, but if you ever have a chance to see a film of the "The Descent of Inanna" done at the 1998 Burning Man festival I would recommend seeing it as quite a . . . um . . . unique experience. Between that and having just read "Snow Crash" last night, I feel like I am on a twisted Sumerian mythology binge.
In other news, had you heard about this (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/)?
A new movie by Neil Gaiman, Dave McKean, and the Jim Henson Company
