They shifted the statues for harboring ghosts

And for New Year's, Eric took me and Anita and Eddy to the Boston Pops with Amanda Palmer. There turned out to be dinner involved. And Bizet and Brecht. And a tippy moocow. And a cover of Lady Gaga (with feminist, post-structuralist critique). And a short film with Bill Nighy. I said hi to Neil Gaiman for an editor I know. I consider it highly unlikely that this will be the template for next year, but I grant it a surprisingly auspicious start.

The Boston Pops site says of Neil Gaiman: "He is listed in the Dictionary of Literary Biography as one of the top ten living post-modern writers,"

Fascinating. I didn't think the venerable DLB went in for such lists. One wonders who the others are.
