I should probably have mentioned I'm in Providence. It appears to be snowing. There is a gas fire making the shadows flicker on the grate. readingthedark is asleep on the couch. The chances that I will have slept enough to be more than minimally coherent tomorrow are small, but the conversation was awesome.

We've got the same snow here, although it's fortunately not really commenced to raining yet. The snow, however, was in a state of ugly slush by the time I was clearing the driveway.

At least December is attempting to behave like winter. It lessens the impression of living on a broken planet.
