Someone died and someone's married
I have a computer. I may even post photographs of it when I return from Yonkers, where my brother's best friend since elementary school—and in seven days, his best man—is getting married. He's almost my other brother, Wes. And now we see them both off in the same week.

Very glad to hear about your new computer. I hope it serves you well and lasts for a long time.

I may tell them the comparison has been made: the second may mean nothing to either of them, but they may both be amused by the Austen.

I'll tell all four of them!
I hope it serves you well and lasts for a long time.
I hope so, too . . .

It is much better than funerals.
How are you doing?
That is a complicated question; I am alive, is the short answer. I would like to be sleeping more. Also writing.

Seriously!

Thank you!
Happy Labour Day! (Well, I hope it's been--I was at a town fair, and haven't had a chance to log in till now.)
