BOOK!

For all of you who were enthusiastic about my forthcoming books back at the beginning of the year, I hope you have not gotten disillusioned and wandered off: because finally, after months of cover-relayed delays, my poetry and flash fiction collection Postcards from the Province of Hyphens will very soon be available from Prime Books. As in, I am informed with a reasonable degree of certainty that I should have copies in hand by May 16th—and if you ordered a copy, you could too. As for the covers themselves . . .

(Cut in an attempt not to crash anyone's browser.)

To borrow a phrase from [livejournal.com profile] strange_selkie: glorious hardcoverosity.

Doesn't look bad as a trade paperback either, I think. And possibly more affordable.

Design by Garry Nurrish, eleventh-hour creator of miracles; art by Lawrence Alma-Tadema, painter of many classical scenes; jacket photograph by A.F. Glixman, my grandfather. Extremely complimentary quotes by the people to whom they are attributed. Sean Wallace gets the blame for publishing it. Everything else is my fault. May you enjoy.

The site still has radically screwed up release dates and whatnot. Also no method to pre-order. They really should fix that, so's I can order me a copy :)

I have beaten him and beaten him, and yet he yields not the release dates in question.

Perhaps a cattle prod.

To what part of my frail and aged anatomy will you be applying those, pray tell?

Congrats on the book. I'll have to find myself a copy.

As an aside, you were mentioned in a poetry symposium (http://www.strangehorizons.com/2005/20050502/poetry-symposium1-a.shtml) in Strange Horizons, part one of which was posted today. At Mike Allen's suggestion, I linked your name to this blog, although I'd be happy to point the link elsewhere if you'd prefer.
