I'm trying to get out for days and these green vines keep getting in my way

My poem "Tapping the Vine," written yesterday under enthusiastic circumstances, has been accepted by [livejournal.com profile] tithenai and [livejournal.com profile] mer_moon for their guest-edited issue of Mythic Delirium, forthcoming in the spring of 2010. Now I can get back to all the poems I owe everyone else.

If you have not already seen [livejournal.com profile] greygirlbeast's relaunched website, please check it out. I cannot be held responsible for any disturbance or disorientation consequent thereto.

I must now mow the lawn and somehow avoid heatstroke in the process. There will be updates of one sort or another when I get back.

Super!

And--we have a vine blocking exit from our porch. [livejournal.com profile] wakanomori was commenting on it just this morning. It has to be pushed aside.

I can't wait to read your poem. As a subscriber to Mythic Delirium, I will have the pleasure of its being delivered to my door.

does it want in?

We think, based on the assiduousness with which it wraps itself around any bicycle left at rest for more than a day, that what it really wants to do is go for a bike ride.

....Mow... lawn?

My God, what have they done to you?

Just commenting to say that it seems Phyllis Gotlieb has died.

Even better!

Huzzah!

Oh, can't the lawn wait til dusk?
Unless, of course, it's shaded, in which case mid-day lawn mowing isn't so terrible.

That's something, at least.

Let it grow to knee height, then scythe it - that's the true poet's way. Can you imagine Andrew Marvell with a lawnmower?

(Congratulations on the poem, btw - that was fast work!)

Congratulations! That's perfectly splendid, about your poem.

Good luck with the lawn. Many people will be very unhappy if you get heatstroke, so please be careful, right?

Thank you!

Most welcome!

I didn't die.

This is a Very Good Thing.
