Non habemus papam

. . because I don't personally. But somebody in the world does. A fair amount of somebodies, in fact.

Me: So, yep. New Pope.

Fleurdelis28: [livejournal.com profile] snowspinner seems unalarmed, though I don’t think he’s a big fan. He seems to think he's basically the filler Pope to give the Church time to decide what direction it wants to transition into.

Me: Filler Pope. Yike.

Fleurdelis28: Well, yeah, I guess when it's put that way . . .

Me: Your fault. Now you have to do something with that image.

Fleurdelis28: Like what? I am NOT writing Dingbat Filler Pope Fiction.

Me: Awwww . . .

Fleurdelis28: And you can’t make me!

Me: Awwww.

There must be a Filler Bunny joke in here somewhere, but I am not going to make it. I think [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna still says it best.

I think I'm related to the Fuller Brush Man...

Well, everyone I'm related to is just as related to each other, and that's a lot of people. Probably a large segment, if not a majority, of Americans with English descent. It's just the fact that I'm most easily recognizable as Eastern-European Jewish (never mind that I look strongly like my mother's German ancestors) that makes it distinctive. Well, and the part with all the Mormons.

Though my hands and feet look exactly like my maternal grandmother's, she of the eccentric English descent. I could have the hands of Aelfgifu! (*eek*)

You have to be careful of those filler popes. They're mostly xanthan gum, anyway.

LOL.
