The houses close their doors and dream of her

My poem "Heyiya," written for my best cousin [livejournal.com profile] gaudior, has been accepted by Strange Horizons. She's that awesome.

Today and yesterday and the day before, the air has been bright and cool, the sun starting to slant over at the end of summer: not quite a foretaste of autumn. The ghosts are coming up out of the ground.

Hmmm, yes, it's lovely, although I don't like autumn much - spring is my season. But even so, to quote a different Le Guin, "Praise the Creation unfinished!"

I think I need an autumnal manga icon ... there are some lovely autumn-themed color "extras" from several of my favorite mangaka.

Certainly ... it may not be for a bit, I'm writing a big angst-filled fanfic thing and it's sopping up all the spare creativity.

(And because I'm spaced like that - belated congratulations on another publication!)

This, itself, is a very lovely autumnal icon, with Totoro playing in the leaves :-)

Oooh, yes, lovely indeed - but that one's not mine. It's the creation of kate-nepveu ... I got it (and its sibling on this post) here.

I feel compelled to have such icons from my favorite manga series, because manga makes me happy these days!

Oh, those are **so nice** She did a great job! Not sure which I like best--but the two you've got here are definitely tops. Love the "Grow, seeds, grow" one too :-)
