A shoal of nightstars hang fire in the nets

My poems "A Promise from the Sea" (for [livejournal.com profile] seajules) and "Mermaids at Tashlikh" (for [livejournal.com profile] fleurdelis28) are now online at Goblin Fruit, along with rare and strange poems from [livejournal.com profile] gwynnega, [livejournal.com profile] watermelontail, [livejournal.com profile] samhenderson, [livejournal.com profile] time_shark, and many others. The issue is dedicated to Terri Windling, Midori Snyder, and the Journal of Mythic Arts. It's beautiful.

I'm embarrassed to say that I have, and that it hasn't been quite what they're looking for. One day I'll get it right, though :-)

Lovely, lovely.

I really should send something their way. Of course, that would require me to start writing again. I keep meaning to...

You just did something to my body. Reading "A Promise from the Sea," left my throat all weird, like my stomach got roiled, bubbling up, and then reading "Mermaids at Tashlikh," my eyes got misty. I haven't examined my reactions yet (have to read again), but your poems have such an immediate, tangible effect on me. They always make me want to dig into this life and feel it and at the same time almost dread the toll it can take.

Those are lovely. Nicely done!
