Thirty diamonds, birds of fire, sparkle like the summer sky

My poem "The Firework-Makers" is now online at Lone Star Stories, along with fabulous pieces by [livejournal.com profile] seajules, [livejournal.com profile] papersky, and [livejournal.com profile] zhai.

I also got back my first three rolls of film, so expect photographs (if not yet from graduation) soon. To my surprise, I like how most of them came out!

Expect also at least some thoughts about Leslie Howard's Pimpernel Smith (1941)—if nothing else, why is it not available from Criterion?

*All* the poems in that issue are just fabulous :-)

Terrific sonnet--and what a wonderful illustration to go with it!

Lovely!

Glad you like your photographs. Looking forward to seeing some of them.

I still love that one so much.

Happy making. Happy making indeed.

That's also (with the much sympathized exception [my sinuses decided to try and kill me]) happy making.

I have no idea what Criterion are thinking sometimes. I can easily come up with one hundred movies I'd rather have seen them release than, say, Armageddon...

Betcha no other Criterion release has as one of its second-disc features "Michael Bay's gag reel".

Though I must say, "gag" was my reaction to that movie.

A very lovely poem. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it to you in so many words, but you are by a significant margin my favorite poet writing in the speculative scene. I was just showing [livejournal.com profile] jridler your "Bonny Fisher Boy" in Schezerezade's Bequest and explaining to him at length why it was beautiful.

Thanks for the mention, and good to share space with you again! :)
