My poem "The Firework-Makers" is now online at Lone Star Stories, along with fabulous pieces by seajules, papersky, and zhai.

I also got back my first three rolls of film, so expect photographs (if not yet from graduation) soon. To my surprise, I like how most of them came out!

Expect also at least some thoughts about Leslie Howard's Pimpernel Smith (1941)—if nothing else, why is it not available from Criterion?

Though I must say, "gag" was my reaction to that movie.

A very lovely poem. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it to you in so many words, but you are by a significant margin my favorite poet writing in the speculative scene. I was just showing jridler your "Bonny Fisher Boy" in Schezerezade's Bequest and explaining to him at length why it was beautiful.
