Every raw material at hand

My poem "Autopoiesis," dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] xterminal, is now online at Lone Star Stories. Check out out especially [livejournal.com profile] samhenderson's "Hungry: Some Ghost Stories," which is exactly the angle I wondered about after reading her recipe-story "Scones" several years ago.

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] sharhaun!

And I am glad to accept the blame. After all, my favorite activity has always been corrupting the innocent.

Oh, I love this poem. I'm so glad it's up here for the public. I think it needs to be added to the literature and writing curriculums in every school too. Can we manage that somehow?

Totally agree.

I thrilled you remembered "Scones."

And I'll tell you a secret: I lied. All of these are true.

"Autopoiesis" is beautiful, as ever, 'The writing is the wall.' looping back into the graffiti and, perhaps, 'a fundamental dialectic between structure and function' (yes, I had to look up the title).

Isambard Kingdom Brunel is my current ambassador to lj. A friend suggested I adopt his taste in... well, we weren't sure if there was a specific word for gentlemen's millinery, but his taste in hats.
