I am glad something is still blooming in the denuded yard. I love the ombre daffs but have never thought of them as candles, so I will carry that image with me now.
We want to put down wildflowers in the wasted yard. There are some clumps of grass by now, but nothing blooming that isn't the forsythia.
Just the other day it was suddenly proper spring here, too, and I found a mutant rhododendron with massive powder pink flowers larger than my fist.
I love that image in return. Busting out all over without even waiting for June.
