Shoot like a magnet to the surface of the sun

We just had a blackout! For what looked like blocks around! It lasted exactly as long as it took spatch to light a candle in a yahrzeit glass and me to find a utility bill to call and report the outage. Briefly, stars were visible.

(Today was concerned primarily with taking Hestia to the vet, falling over afterward, and thinking unavoidably about geopolitics.)
