You might be the strange delightful
It took a month to wing its way from Münster in a small international envelope stickered with a great tit, but a bisexual oystercatcher just arrived in the mail courtesy of
spatch. It is currently in situ on my shelf between the axolotl and the white quartz, backed by A. E. Housman, A. C. Jacobs, and Robinson Jeffers. I saw some ordinary and really nice ivy while out walking.

It looks like it could be Hedera Helix 'atropurpurea'.
And I love the oystercatcher standard bearers! One of my favourite birds.

It was brilliant in the sun when I saw it. Thank you for validating my instinct to snap it.

It's just around the time of year when they start to be seen on Massachusetts shores, too. These ones came in right on schedule!

A tad self-serving! Thought process went along the lines of -- I now have a garden, can I put this in it, Hmmmmm. Thank you for bringing it to my notice.

You're welcome! I hope it thrives in your garden, with occasional outcroppings of superheroism.
