As part of my birthday month, spatch just presented me with a little black cat bag containing the Criterion flash sale fruits of Orson Welles' The Immortal Story (1968), which I had loved at the start of this month.



I just want an extra week in the month to do nothing but sleep instead of talking to doctors and bureaucracies. I can't believe we are almost out of October. It should be an inexhaustible resource.

It had been such a sleepless day and it was such a lovely thing.

As for October dimming into November, you could always declare that you would designate November as the October Extension.

I like the idea of November as October II.

I like that far better than, say, October 2.0; I love living in the computerized future, but there's still an old-fashioned part of me that likes October II far better.
